Clean. Rooms are very small and bed was uncomfortable. Owners are pleasant and the grounds are beautifully maintained. TV/cable wasn't working.
Stayed here for a few days while passing through Placerville. This motel is associated with Gold Trail Lodge and often you will find staff at either location for checkin etc. No breakfast noted, but there were candies & danish’s offered for guest in the lobby at Gold Trail Lodge. The owners Don & Livia are extremely kind & accommodated our requests. We really appreciate their hospitality. The pool is clean with varying depths and there are umbrella shaded tables and chairs for seating. Just outside the pool fence is a beautiful garden with many flowers, tons of birds & a bird bath. There is also a table with chairs to enjoy the view. The rooms are basic, but include a microwave, coffee maker & refrigerator. I would highly recommend this location compared to the other motels on the same street. More value for your money here!

Stayed here for a Saturday night in August on my way from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe. Booking was for Mother Lode, but the office was at Gold Trail, and when I got there, the owner moved me to a room at Gold Trail. That was nice too. Room was clean with enough space. No breakfast at the motel, but they did give me a lot of choices of sweet danishes and other packaged pastries. The motel is very easy to get to, right off of the highway.
